The wise and the dynamic man with sheer intelligence, sharp presence of mind, moral aptitude, and spiritual condemnation named Bishop Joseph Walker has become the national voice calling for leadership to help people in sustaining healthy and satisfying lives. He tried to bring the young generation back to God. The Judah Generation, which is a musical testament of faith, perseverance and hope, helped him immensely in achieving his aim.
Bishop Joseph Walker is actually a shepherd with old-fashioned wisdom, who was reared in Shreveport, Louisiana in the 1970s. He has been inspired mainly by his father who himself served as a church deacon and as a Superintendant, besides being a strong businessman. Bishop says, “My summer days, throughout most of my youth, were spent working with my father. I gained my strong work ethic through that experience.”
Bishop Joseph Walker is a man with terrific knowledge and academic qualifications. He earned Bachelor of Arts Degree from the Southern University, Louisiana followed by the Master of divinity degree from Vanderbilt University. After earning his Degree in Arts, he even earned the Doctor of Ministry Degree from the Princeton University.
He currently holds the post “Bishop of Senior Pastors” within the Full Gospel Baptist Church Fellowship, which is under the leadership of International Presiding Bishop Paul S. Morton. Besides being a charismatic leader of Mt. Zion, Bishop Joseph Walker sits on noteworthy boards, including the Board of the American Red Cross, and holds a governor-appointed post on the Tennessee Human Rights Commission.
Joseph Walker has written several books too in which he has given an insight of life. The names of some of the well recognized books are as follows: Becoming a couple of Destiny, Date with destiny, Life between Sundays, Pursuit of Purpose, Too Blessed to be broke, Before You say I do, From Tragedy to triumph, etc. He is also the main person responsible for establishing Mt. Zion's Kid Zone, a youth-centered facility for youth worship, tutorial services and outreach, etc.
